CONFLICTING LEGAL ADVICE
MAJOR MAGAZINE
Let me caution you about the legal advice in a major financial magazine, MONEY magazine.
In the June, 2014 edition, “Ask the expert” column, the question was “whether a rental property owner or landlord should use a generic lease or other tenant form?.
The answer was NO.
The advice was so appropriate. “Never buy generic lease or other tenant forms, which do not account for local laws, from a general real estate site or big box store.”
The article goes on to say that expertise in local law is necessary to keep out of hot water
Surprise! Surprise!
Inexpensive legal forms can be one of the most expensive purchases of your whole life.
Don’t get your legal advice from a magazine called MONEY.
Get your legal advice from a magazine call LAWYER.
