WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF PUBLIC SPEAKING FINALIST RETURNS HOME TO INSTRUCT LOCAL STUDENTS AND ADULTS IN PUBLIC SPEAKING

Since 1977 Steve Medlin has competed all over the nation in international speaking with Toastmasters. He puts his international experience to work teaching students and adults public speaking.

Steve Medlin joined Toastmasters International in 1977.

Toastmasters is an educational organization that operates clubs worldwide helping members improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills.

Steve won over fifty speech contests and competed in the world finals of international speaking.

He continues to hone his craft in the University City Club in Charlotte where he is especially active in mentoring new members and again participating in contests at all levels.

As an active Toastmaster, he took the lead teaching the community’s youth in youth leadership programs and teaching adults in speech craft programs.

Youth leadership is a six week program offered at different times during the year in dozens of schools over the course of 20 years. Steve taught hundreds of Cabarrus County school children public speaking skills. Steve also judged speech contests for Toastmasters International and assisted Optimists Clubs and other clubs and schools with judging student speech contests. He also formed seven (7) new clubs in Cabarrus County and other surrounding areas.
