ESTATE PLANNING MYTH THAT HUSBAND AND WIFE ALWAYS INHERIT FROM EACH OTHER DESPITE NO WILL

Let me tell you something you might not know about what happens when husband or wife die without a will.

Greek mythology may not be believed anymore.

But street mythology is very common.

One piece of street law that hurts people is the belief that when one member of a married couple dies without a will, the other partner receives everything outright by law.

That just isn’t true in nearly every case.

The “street mythology” is wrong and dangerous and it will hurt the survivor of the couple for either of them to die without a will.

Others who may inherit when there is no will include:

• Children – of any age

• Mother or Father or both

Any of those people inheriting part of your estate can be a real problem for your surviving spouse

Don’t let that grave difficulty of other relatives inheriting part of the estate be your legacy to your surviving spouse if you die.
