ESTATE PLANNING HEATH LEDGER'S WILL NOT UPDATED

Let me tell you something you might not know about the highly acclaimed actor, Heath Ledger.

Heath Ledger brilliantly portrayed the Joker in the Batman movie, Dark Knight.

He won the Academy Award for best supporting actor.

Heath Ledger died January 22, 2008 ………. at age 28.

He was stunning onscreen,  however he  failed to change his will in a timely manner.

His daughter, Matilda Rose, was born some time after he prepared a will leaving his estate to his parents and sisters.

Therefore, his beloved daughter was not named in his will.

This unfortunate omission caused a great deal of vicious sniping among family members through the news media.

Eventually, the daughter’s needs were appropriately met in the legal system.

However, this is no way to handle any estate, especially one dealing with a small child.

Any time there is a birth, death, marriage, divorce or other great change for you or among your immediate family members, your estate plan needs to be updated.

You do not want your estate settlement to be a big mess and a family fight such as was caused by Heath Ledger.
