WHO ARE THE HEIRS WITH NO WILL TO HELP

So, you have been named administrator for a decedent’s estate and you find out there is no will to help you.

When there is no last will and testament, there IS a family fight brewing.

This video is about finding the true heirs.

This is complicated work and very time consuming.

The intestate succession laws are unknown to most people.

You will deal with the decedent’s genealogy.

To make matters worse, husband and wife do not necessarily inherit from each other.

Sometimes the parents of the deceased inherit and sometimes the children of the deceased inherit.

Other considerations include adopted children, bequests of property that were no longer possessed by the deceased, simultaneous death of husband and wife, whether or not the deceased had married or divorced, or had children born of another marriage, illegitimate children, the list goes on.

If you do not find all of the heirs or include people who are not heirs, you are personally liable.
